In this video, I sit down & make a four-legged critter from scratch... which I then rig to be Unity-"Humanoid" and bring into VRChat! I don't have full-body tracking, so I can't demonstrate that aspect of this rigging style... but anything YOU rig this way, people will be able to step into with both feet and their hip tracker! \o/
((Edit: Near the end, in the Unity part, I'm trying to explain how I switch between locomotion legs and dancing legs, in my hindquarters. Your locomotion hind legs should be targeted at their reverse Humanoid core legs, that is, left hind leg chain driven by right Humanoid leg. But your DANCING hind legs should be same-side targeted, that is, left hind leg chain driven by left Humanoid leg ("the opposite" of... the opposite...).
Whichever targets are active by default should have their influence set to 1 in the target list, and whichever are inactive by default should be 0. If you make an animation that records you changing it from your default 1&0 to your alternate 0&1, and the reverse, you can switch between regular and dancing style legs on the fly! My gryphons have this option in their radial menus as "Gait Toggle."))
